About this track:
Like all here, this too is a 5min write turned into a first-pass, one-take, recorded while writing, and then overdubs; all dry tracks and manually manipulated, no plug-ins.
This one, not really finished with the Lyrics either, so then did sing into it again to keep the first-pass one-take original but correct some of the "fishing" for chord, word -isms as that goes and preserve that paradigm of record while writing!

Love the playfulness of the lyrics, particularly when you really stick the rhythm after 2:00 or so. Digging the nifty guitar overdubs, too; would have liked to hear them a little further forwards in the mix. The mix is... well, I found it a bit challenging, if I'm honest. I dunno if Bandcamp's compression algorithm is being particularly unkind, but everything comes through concentrated around 100 to 200 Hz, and the mix more or less disappears above the low mids. It makes things very "woofy." Shame, because it's a cracking track!

I totally understand why this is a favorite of yours. That staccato rhythm within the melody works well with the overall arraignment. This has a swagger about it that is undeniably confident.

I somehow overlooked you posted this one, and don't think I heard this past your very first take after dubbing in first electric part.....if I did I don't remember, as always super impressed with what you can do with just a dub here and a dub there won't get into the three men dubba dub dubbing in a tub, but hah!
Came out really great! I think collparadiso is right too, yeah maybe a gentle delivery, but lyrics carry enough bite Smile I like the ghostly little whisper remnants of your original word fishing too still being there. Would be a super fun and great one to turn into a 10-15 minute spur of the moment jam ....agree with all the above comments too, gamey and gritty, but not like nasty ass deer meat(for me Biggrin ) more like a well cooked pheasant hahaha..........there is a good swagger to this too, would fit nicely even tagged outlaw country, but that's lost most its meaning anymore sadly.
