about

From the many traditional fragments of this song, "Cocaine, Cocaine Blues, Little Sadie", and all the rest I pulled just those lines that looked most interesting, regardless of making sense, and with further, -- assembled my "Lil' Cocaine Bill" song.

In researching this, just an fyi note, some think "Hey Joe" was an adaptation too... wow, aye! So, this now my own adaptation of the many bits and pieces recycled so many times in other ways.

It seems many of the Lyric from that century tend to facilitate "goofy" melodies, (as group campfire songs?)... and so, this is no different, however, I like it!

lyrics

Cg Fa susA# F
Yonder comes my baby, dressed in blue.
Hey, baby, what you gonna, do?
Cocaine knocking on your full, moon
G b Fa Cg
Drink all you want to, but let that, cocaine, cocaine be.

C F susA# F
Stroll down the avenue, just a little bit more
Cocaine Bill and Morphine Sue, woah ah woah ahhh
Rolling up big ones two by two
G F C
Drink all you want to, but let that cocaine, cocaine be.

C F susA# F
Come here honey have a little wiff
Have a wiff..., wiff with on me...
I live in a house on cocaine hill
G F C
Drink all you want to, but let that, cocaine, cocaine be.

C F susA# F
I have a cocaine dog call'em little fill
Fights my cat over a cocaine rat.
G F C
Cocaine, cocaine, running round, round my brain
C G F C
Cocaine, cocaine, cocaine, cocaine ...

C F
So I got cocaine hair on my cocaine head so bare
C G
I wear a cocaine dress poppy seed red
F C
And I still get the blues when can't stay fed
G C
Cocaine, running round, round my brain
