about

Well in researching everything there is to know about Thin Lizzy, this was inspired by Thin Lizzy's "Slow Blues" which is a pentatonic blues scale, first position scale box, 1 4 5 prog., -- based on "slow blues" with public domain lyrics recycled. I had always wanted to as well, sing the pentatonic interval like that and so it is! So, yet another slow blues, "my women don't love me" any more song! :)

(I should've recorded the vocals with my "Shaker" Harmonica Mic! - oh well.)

I think the orchestration of Thin Lizzy's with the many Kettle Drums and then blended lyrics with how he is able to sing the "response" lines, so straight vocally, subtly, -- make their song.

It's a classic blues template which I think even with the rewrite I did, could go much heavier sonically. It eventually, I guess, just turns into another "jam-song". Gary Moore, does a "Still Got The Blues" and I love his live version. He has a great feel for this kind of solo, anchors back but technically expands it on each cycle he returns back to what I call, the "call line" to then respond.

This is in C, positioned mid-neck (nice and easy), pentatonic blues scale, its first position within a 1 - 4 - 5 prog, mostly grinding on the tonic :)

lyrics

My baby don't love me
My baby's gone and made me sad
My baby don't love me
My baby's gone and made me sad

Hard hearted woman true
My baby don't love me
My baby don't love me
Oh baby...

Let the flags fly
Let the flags fly
At this darkened hour
At this darkened hour
You don't know, how much... oh baby
How much, you don't know...
How much I'm miss'n you...
