Addendum 10Dec2022 for any wondering about "The Shovel" (Diddley Bo) Cody made from an old shovel. Nothing to do with this album specifically other than if used - a story I offered about it's origins :) This from an old online thread sometime 2020. A short story by me, ustaknow (alias) I made up for the shovel-diddley-bo:

He won't tell the real story, but I will, - made from a broken shovel that is more than a hundred years old, hard hard, cold steel, found on an open Oklahoma Plain of untold location next to sun bleached bones of an old cowboy bank-robber next to the hole he'd dug to bury his booty. No gold, just this haunted shovel was there with no handle, long gone.

So, the steel is so hard, - the only way he could make holes in it for the Vol, Tone pots and other was to, at 100 yards, no less, shoot 30 Cal holes, exactly where you see them, for those controls; which he did to make this instrument.

And now, every time he plays it, the tortured soul of that old cowboy, in a low background tone, howls out. You can hear it just as he first starts playing it, - every time.

If you ask him, he'll probably post some pictures of it. But, don't stare at it to long, - just don't, only listen.

It's Part III of a three part collection. A favorite of mine, ustaknow (alias).
(But, again - it's bad luck to listen to only part of it, not all, - with this shovel, so - just say'n, do listen to all :) )

- Also, the cat, "Cat" - in the track art there, be on the lookout for it. It was lost in a Pittsburgh, PA Bus Depot that year on the ride back to Oklahoma from New Hampshire (true story). We'd like to have it back, dead or alive.

Well, now, actually - it never was alive, but, hey, it was Pittsburgh, and Pennsylvania, and a Bus Station, anything could happen. :)

We knew how to have fun and get others to have fun with us no matter who, or what they were - if they wanted to do so as well.
