about

BloodSideOut Side-A is the "kitchen tapes" tracks of a hard-4-me to categorize bundling of music. The "tags" I use are singer-songwriter, folk blues, r&b, spiritual r&b and "christian". I put quotes around christian since it's unlikely any church will be playing these. (Some will get this distinction.)

However, these are all prayer, real life and spiritual-hymn rooted within our long folk music tradition of carrying forward personal life experience, possibly some public domain lyrics and going in new directions. Two tracks here are rooted deeply in that, --Spirituals, and Folk tradition, I'm sure you'll like my life-like 21st Century version.

Side-B will be coming soon. It will be the "kitchen tapes" tracks with, likely, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Harmonica, Drum Kit. If I am so fortunate, also, --backing vocals of a female timbre. The subtitle will be "Secular Gathering" since, will have all the other with it. For me, music is like "warfare" ... it is a gathering of warriors, -musicians! (How I see it.)

Six songs from someone who performs rather than "records" is allot to ask, --but has been asked for. Some may prefer the stripped down vocals and guitar, or the other. Music, it is a personal thing indeed.

My feeling about "Records" is, --I don't want to record anything, and then if you ever heard me live then wonder..., "wow, is that him"? :) So many bands make great Records, but not great live renditions of their work. Again, music, it is a personal thing, --and this is mine.

-- Since requested by a number of fans, Lyrics will be added.

Reprise songs refer to the roots from where they are derived, public domain spiritual, folk made my own and moved forward with. Some artists cite traditional derivatives, some do not. It bothers me not to. It's a personal choice. I just don't understand how an artist can copyright, all over, even unchanged lyrics, music and not provide the reference. Oh well...
